Resilient Cognitive Solutions LLC was founded in 2007 as a spinoff company now specializing exclusively in Cognitive Systems Engineering for the specific purpose of delivering revolutionary decision support to the nation's most challenging mission-critical and business-critical problems. By employing a unique, fourth generation methodology developed by the staff of RCS, resilient (adaptive, error-tolerant systems) are designed and implemented. Data Overload is prevented. Situational Awareness is actually designed into the environment. Operators are teamed with their computerized environment, eliminating characteristics of classic systems engineering effort, characterized by one expert as "first I must defeat my own system so that I can then engage the enemy".
RCS has a full range of program management, Cognitive Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, and Object Oriented Programming. Many employees are TS/SCI/Lifestyle Poly cleared. Much of the general decision centered analysis and design is done at the unclassified level in our newly renovated Pittsburgh Office in the historic South Side area of the city. Classified work is done at the customer facility.
The Pittsburgh facility houses an advanced software development environment for both standalone and web based decision support applications. It includes a full gigabit LAN throughout the infrastructure. The entire infrastructure has been fully modernized, providing an extremely productive environment for CSE Engineers and SW Engineers. This 3300 sq. ft. has been uniquely designed to support the entire ACSE(tm) development methodology.
