Time Critical Targeting

Need

Instructors found it difficult or impossible to evaluate the performance of the time critical targeting (TCT) cell because of the pace of the fight and the complex interrelationships of the resources and taskings.

Idea

By providing a multiperspective workspace combining an overview of the taskings along with a temporal frame of reference for resource availability, commitments, and requests, the Time Critical Targeting decisions could be presented in an intuitive context.

Benefit

Instructors were able to quickly assess students’ performance during unanticipated situations in near real time often detecting impractical plans or violations of temporal or capacity constraints not readily apparent to the evaluated element using conventional C2 systems.
